Bryce Dumont sent me this impromptu recording of the unmastered, raw piece of music and asked if I could do anything with it. I said, "Hell yes!" and set out to write a spoken word piece to it. He had called the track "Lullaby," so I wrote a poem/rant with that theme in mind. I believe we recorded two takes of the poem over the music. We used the second take and it is layered over the music exactly as it landed during the recording. The timing couldn't have been better. The poem was recorded entirely in Devon, England at Bryce's house while I was on tour in the UK in 2009 a few days after I performed at the Glastonbury Festival. I believe it is one of the best recordings Monotwin has ever produced. --Mike McGee
